2)What is ismi azam? What is the benefit of reading it(answer with authentic hadith)??
Ismi azam is the greatest name of Allah that is mentioned in the Quran and hadiths. It is that name or names of Allah when called upon, Du’aas are accepted.
Imam Jazri (Rahmatullaahi Alayh) has recorded a few Ahaadeeth in his compilation ‘Al Hisnul Haseen’ related to the Isme A’zam. In the end he writes that according to him, the following words contain the Isme A’zam:
اللَّهُ لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا هُوَ الْـحَيُّ الْقَيُّومُ
Allaamah Suyooti has recorded twenty opinions with regard to the Isme A’zam. Among them is the opinion that the name ALLAH is the Isme A’zam. (Al Durrul Munazzam fil Ismil Mu’azzam P1).
Some say that it is the Du’aa of Nabi Yunus (Alayhis Salaam) he recited when in the stomach of the whale.
In short, there are many opinions and all can be correct. All the names of Allah are great, powerful and beneficial. Any Divine name taken with sincerity, devotion and dedication while fulfilling the preconditions of Du’aa, i.e. Taqwa, abstinence from sin, Halaal earnings, etc. will reap benefit. On the other hand, if even the Isme A’zam is recited without these conditions fulfilled, that Du’aa can be rejected.
Two hadiths that mark its importance are:
1) The Prophet (saw) remarked: “He has supplicated Allah using His Greatest Name (Ism al Azeem), when supplicated with He answers and when asked by He gives.”
(Abu Dawud 1490, al Tirmidhi 3621 “gharib but has other routes”, al Nasai 1291, Ibn Majah 3881, Sahih Ibn Hibban 894 “sahih“, al Hakim 1810 “sahih“)
2) Narated By Anas Malik : I was sitting with the Apostle of Allah (pbuh) and a man was offering prayer. He then made supplication: O Allah, I ask Thee by virtue of the fact that praise is due to Thee, there is no deity but Thou, Who showest favour and beneficence, the Originator of the Heavens and the earth, O Lord of Majesty and Splendour, O Living One, O Eternal One.
The Prophet (pbuh) then said: He has supplicated Allah using His Greatest Name, when supplicated by this name, He answers, and when asked by this name He gives. [Abu Dawud Book 002, Hadith Number 1490, Chapter : Supplications.]
